Mayor's Advisory Council on Disability

The Mayor's Advisory Council on Disability is an appointed council to the Mayor. The purpose for meeting is to foster public awareness of disabilities and to function as a public forum for input, ideas, and news pertaining to the disabled community here in Valparaiso. Meetings are open to the public and all are invited to participate.


The Mayor’s Advisory Council on Disabilities:
  • Fosters public awareness and education of the needs and abilities of citizens with disabilities
  • Provides a forum for community issues / activities affecting citizens with disabilities
  • Supports the endeavors of the mayor undertaken on behalf of citizens with disabilities
Mayor Costas and community members are working with businesses and residents throughout Valparaiso to ensure that all of our residents have easy access to public facilities, transportation, and events.
